Thala- The King of K- Town


The Box Office King is back in the hit list and this time it’s Mankatha; Sharing screen space with Action king Arjun and Trisha Krishnan in his Fiftieth. The film being kick starts as Ajith kumar (Vinayak Mahadevan) being suspended from police department and the movie goes on with Arjun (Prithviraj) as Assistant Commissioner of Police, Trisha (Sanjana Arumugam) as Vinayak’s lover and four others Mahat Raghavendra (Mahat), Ashwin Kakumanu (Ganesh), Premji Amaren (Prem) and Vaibhav Reddy as Sumanth in the lead roles. The storyline of the film is IPL betting and how the money being transferred in gambling. Many bookies were arrested and for the final game of IPL 500 crores of rupees are transferred to Jayaprakash (Arumuga Chettiyar) by bookies for gambling. The four guys planning to steal the money as Vinayak come to know about their plans and he joins them at the final instance promising them to help. They succeeded in stealing the money from Chettiyar and the movie continues with Vinayak and four others having controversy with themselves for sharing of money with Prithivi, Chettiyar and his goons after them.  How Vinayak resolves the problem and getting out of it with the money was story lined in a thrilling way with Andrea Jeremiah (Sabitha Prithviraj), Anjali (Suchitra), and Lakshmi Rai (Sona) in the support roles to play with.
The Fiftieth movie of Ajith kumar is highly entertained for all audiences and it broke many Box Office collections. The highlights of this movie is Yuvan sankar raja musical, the theme of Mankatha and Ajith performing in bike scenes with front and back wheelings; and Ajith in negative role after a long time. The last time it was Vaali in the latter 90’s. After Rajnikanth, Ajith kumar is the only one who plays villain character with a lot of zeal and style.
Ajith is next starring in Billa- 2 and he is yet to plan next movie after Billa-2. Sources say Vishnu and Vijay are in the race to direct Ajith with Vishnu has slight edge on it.
